For some courses such as the UCT Digital Photography short course you will be required to upload images for specific assignments. Before submitting your assignment, ensure that you have resized your picture to the correct proportions as mentioned in your assignment document.
Follow these easy steps to guide you through the process:
Step 1: Ensure you follow the assignment submission instructions when naming your assignment. Many assignment submissions are anonymous, in these cases it is important you DO NOT name your assignment using your first name and/or last name.
Step 2: On the assignment page, select
Step 3: Upload your image by clicking the icon in your editor toolbar.
You will either see window 1 or window 2 below:
Window 1: Select "Browse repositories..."
Window 1: Click the "Browse" or "Choose file" button.
Window 2: Click on the option to "Find or upload an image" and then select "Browse"
Step 5: In the window that opens, select your image file from the location you saved it on your computer and click "Open" and "Upload this file".
Step 6: Once your image has been selected it will appear in the pop up box the "Enter URL” field will automatically populate.
Window 1: Proceed by ticking the "Description not necessary" box and clicking "Save image".
Window 2: Fill in the image description and select “Insert”
Step 7: If you are uploading images for your Digital Photography Short Course, remember to specify the ISO, aperture, shutter speed and mode used to take the photograph (if required in your assignment document) beneath your image, as outlined in the picture below.
Step 8: Include your "Image rationale” section. Refer to your assignment document for specifications on what to include in this section.
Step 9: Select the "save image" button
Step 10: Once your assignment image has been successfully uploaded, your image will display in the box. If you are happy with your submission, click on the "Save changes" button to submit your assignment for reviewing.
